My Thoughts on the PlayBook 4G LTE

As we all know RIM have launched the PlayBook 4G LTE.

A few days back i went and had a look at one.

And compared it to my PlayBook WiFi.

I was just surprised at how not-so-different the new one is!

I barely felt the new “speed”

I only felt the screen slightly better (resolution wise) and the battery life better. And the added option of the Sim.

Which is quite sad.

I was hoping maybe a new colour?

Or a different OS?

But everything is the same.

It does have a new OS but that is easily available for the WiFi PlayBook. At the end of all this i was quite sad by another failed attempt. I just hope i am not disappointed in BlackBerry 10 devices because if i am, there is clearly no hope left for RIM.

RIM has to really nail BB10 devices to keep up with the Galaxy, iPhone 5, etc.

Because i am sure the iPhone 5 wont be the easiest phone to be lost against. Looking at all the rumoured pictures of the device, its hard for any company to beat Apple. But again, rumours are just blurry pictures. Looks like we’ll just have to wait till September 12th to see what Apple has in stock for us. And then RIM can have a look at their BB10 Devices.
