Special Lock Connectors for iDevices in Apple Stores

We all know, people can go to crazy limits to get an Apple product.

A lot of the stores that i’ve been too, mainly London, New York, etc. They all have started making use of this special cable shown above, which you cannot take out and if by chance you do take it out, a LOUD alarm will haunt the store!

Though, these connectors dont seem to be on ALL Apple devices, only on the really expensive ones.

For example the New iPad, iPhone 4S, and the 15″ Retina Macbook Pro.

The cable looks exactly the same but rather than having a “Port” symbol, it has a “Lock” symbol and a key at the back from which Apple Staff can take the cable out. The alarm is extremely loud and the plastic part where it connects to the device is also a bit thicker, because of the Lock’s and Alarm, wiring, etc.
