Stanford Ovshinsky, inventor of the NiMH battery, passes away at 89
On Wednesday night, Stanford Ovshinsky was the inventor of nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery.
He passed away at the age of 89 due to complications from cancer. Many of our electronics have been powered by his research and work.
Batteries are used from anything between mouses to hybrid cars! Solar Panels were also a part of his invention.
Next time you buy a gadget, just remember Ovshinsky has something to do with it.
You will never be forgotten sir. R.I.P
