As we told you in our previous post, Apple decided to take their security up a notch.
Apple put an Authentication Chip inside the cable, which has to first be approved by Apple, and only then will it work. Now, some companies wanted to take the casing of the connector apart.
AppleInsider and Toxic Cables partnered to take the casing apart.
As we know, this means Third-Party Manufactures will have to first get authentication… I pity the Chinese…
But, the Chinese dont stop there. Some Chinese companies have made a Lightening Connector, which a user bought.
According to the user, it works just as well as the real one for charging and syncing, but not as well for music playback.
The Chinese cable produces a lot of noise in music playback.
That said, when you’re only spending $3.50. So you cannot expect the best.
What do you say? Is Apple toughening up the security, better?
