Yes, you read that correct!
iOS 6.0.1 has been jailbroken on the day it was released, today! But only for older devices, and it is just a tethered jailbreak, the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch 4th generation.
Here are the steps -
Step 1: Get Redsn0w from the Dev Team Website
Step 2: Connecting your device to your computer, put it in DFU mode.
Step 3: Open Redsn0w, click Extras > Select IPSW, and find the iOS 6 IPSW for your device.
Step 4: Go to the main Redsn0w page and continue the jailbreak as you normally would, making sure Cydia is checked to install. Don’t close Redsn0w.
Step 5: Once completed and your device is on, place your device back in DFU mode.
Step 6: Perform a normal “Tethered Boot.”
After completing those steps, you should be done with Cydia on your home screen.
Let us know how it goes!
