Lamborghini has gone ahead and announced the Aventador S. The Aventador S focuses on the aesthetic appeal of the car, which includes a new fascia which Lamborghini claims makes the vehicle far more aerodynamic, and the vertical ducts on the outside of the lower intake optimise airflow around the front tires, and channels more air toward the rear radiators.
Out back, we have a new diffuser and a hexagonal exhaust outlet. We also have a three-position active-rear wing.
What’s new is, the new four-wheel steering system, which is a first for a production Lamborghini. What this means is, at low speeds it turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction to the front wheels, which tightens the turning radius. At high speeds, the system works the other way.
As always, we have a 6.5-liter V12 with 740-horsepower. The engine is capable of going up to 8,350rpm to 8,500rpm. It rockets the car from nought-to-62 miles-per-hour in 2.9seconds with a top speed of 217-miles-per-hour.
Prices start at $421,350 and can go up to $500,000 with extra options and deliveries start in Spring of 2017.
