The latest update of Apples desktop OS, Mountain Lion has sold three million copies in just four days.
That means that the new OS with iMessage, Game Center, iOS’s Notification Center, and the new Reminders and Notes apps as well as other new features has had Apple’s most successful OS release yet.
“Just a year after the incredibly successful introduction of Lion, customers have downloaded Mountain Lion over three million times in just four days, making it our most successful release ever,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.
OS X Mountain Lion is available on the Mac App Store as an exclusive download for $19.99 – but you can install it on 5 different machines.
That means in 4 days, Apple have made $60 million in revenues of Mountain Lion.
