Our most used instant-messaging app, WhatsApp, has came a long way from when creators Jan Koum and Brian Acton created this cross-platform messenger app. After being bought by Facebook for $19 billion months ago, the app has apparently just broken 700 million monthly active users – a number which is up by an estimate of 100 million more than it was in August 2014.
WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum stated that the 700 million users send an average of 30 billion messages per day. He also said:
We’re grateful that so many of you are using WhatsApp to stay in touch with your friends and family, business colleagues and classmates.
