Just this Friday, Apple launched a new exchange program for a few of its 5w European USB power adapters, which have apparently been affected by an overheating issue that could put the user’s safety at risk.

The specific adapter that is prone to this issue came with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone, and iPhone 4s from October 2009 to September 2012 in various European countries (For the full list you will have to visit this Web site).

If you think you might have or using an adapter prone to this issue, then you may wanna bring it in to your local Apple Store for a free replacement direct on the spot. You may have to carry your iPhone, since Apple would check the serial number of the iPhone to make sure that you’re eligible for the replacement.

It’s always nice to see Apple take some responsibility to bring down the worry of their customers.
