Apple went ahead and just released a minor iOS 11.0.2 with build number 15A421 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices, following the bug-fix release of iOS 11.0.1 which came a week ago.

iOS 11.0.2 fixes an issue where iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus owners head some static sound through the earpiece during cellular and FaceTime calls, which could get very frustrating.

The update  is amiable as an OTA through the settings application on your device. Have a look at the changelog –

  • Fixes an issue where crackling sounds may occur during calls for a small number of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus devices
  • Addresses an issue that could cause some photos to become hidden
  • Fixes an issue where attachments in S/MIME encrypted emails would not open
