Just this Monday, Apple rolled out a security update for the Network Time Protocol for OS X. The update is recommended for users running OS X Yosemite, OS X Mavericks, or OS X Mountain Lion.

Apple states that this update will fix a major security problem in the software for OS X users that provides Network Time Protocol service.

Apple also gives us a reminder to “install this update as soon as possible,” explaining the fact that it’s an important update.

The update can be downloaded from the Updates pane in the Mac App Store app.
