Apple showcased this app a few days ago at their iPhone 7/Apple Watch event.
The app is called ‘Viewranger’ and it is the first hiking app for the Apple Watch. The app is designed for hikers; and it uses the built-in GPS in the new Apple Watch Series 2.
It helps hikers in choosing a nearby path for their hike, get alerts about their routes and fully guide the person through, and lastly, get fitness data.
One more exciting thing it does is that you can follow your friends and even upload hiking routes that you discovered.
