The very first iPhone SE units that have been assembled in India have gone on sale in the country, where they’ve been assembled in Bangalore in a facility operated by Apple’s contract manufacturer, Wistron.
Although Apple’s decision for assembling these devices here was to have a more equal price across the globe, the assembled in India units do not carry a lower price whatsoever. At the moment, a very small amount of iPhone SE units have been produced, and for people to actually get their hands on a device assembled in India, Wistron will have to increase production.
Just to give you an idea, at the back of these devices it now says “Designed by Apple in California, Assembled in India.”
