Bentley went ahead and confirmed their plans for a plug-in hybrid version of the Bentayga in 2015 and said the electric vehicle would be ready by 2017. It seems Bentley is keeping their word, because the Bentayga was spied with a new little flap door on the left side which is for the hybrid plug to charge the vehicle.
Although plans were confirmed a while ago, no specifics were discussed, mainly towards the powertrain, would it be powered by a V8 or a V6? Looking up the registration of this vehicle that was spied, it seems it’s using a 3.0-liter V6.
As the car is wearing almost no camouflage, it’s clear this is quite ready for production and we should be seeing it very soon.
