Are you one of those people who are irritated by the thing that you can’t use Touch ID to unlock your iOS device after you restart your device; as a result, you are now required to enter your normal passcode number so that you can begin using Touch ID again.

If you are one of the people frustrated with this, then a new free jailbreak tweak called BioBoot by iOS developer N104 which is now available in Cydia is for you. The tweak enables you to use Touch ID to unlock your iPhone or iPad (even) right after you restart your device.

There are no options to configure other than the option to turn the tweak ‘on’ or ‘off’.

BioBoot only works with devices that have a Touch ID sensor including the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, the latest iPad, and the latest iPad mini. iOS 8 is required.

If want to give it a shot, you can download it now through Cydia’s BigBoss repository.

Hi, i really need your help. I recently forgot my complicated ios password and so i installed this tweak with ifunbox but I dont know how to turn it on and if i type my password wrong one more time it’ll be a 60 minute wait. It knows my fingerprints, so if i can just get this tweak installed i can access my phone again. Could you tell me what i could modify with ifunbox to switch the tweak to enabled? or could you send me a .deb with the tweak already enabled by default? Please email me back: azucker1@my.smccd.edu

    Thanks,
    Andrew
