BlackBerry Venice spotted in live images

The rumours continue to swirl about the upcoming BlackBerry Venice Slider. The device has made it’s way online once again, in a fresh batch of clear images, which seem to match up to all the rumours that have been circulating for some time now. Something new we’ve noticed in this device, is the placement of the SIM card and microSD slot, which are at the very top of the device, unlike all the previous designs which have the Power button at the top. BlackBerry “Dallas” to be released as the Passport Silver Edition

It looks like we’ve finally started to get details on the BlackBerry Dallas, which is essentially a Silver Passport. The picture got posted at BlackBerry10 FK. Basically, the Dallas is a basic BlackBerry Passport with the same specifications but with a slight twist with the design. We aren’t very sure about where the device is headed, and whether this is an exclusive carrier device. We aren’t sure about the cost either, because knowing BlackBerry they may just hike the price up to make the device more exclusive. Also, before anyone thinks this is ‘FAKE’, the date says 7/30/2015 and we’re past that, but apparently all documents are passed around and approved internally before they’re announced/made official. It looks like, BlackBerry has announced a limited period, Loyalty Program for their customers in India, allowing them to purchase the BlackBerry Passport, Z30, Z3 and the Classic at a discount of $158, which is INR 10,000.   Not just that, the Canadian firm is also offering 1GB data free for 2 months on the purchase of the Z3, and 2GB of data free for 2 months on the purchase of the Z30, Classic or the Passport. “The uptake of our BlackBerry 10 smartphones among Indian customers has been encouraging and we believe that through this unique program, customers will be able to take advantage of the powerful BlackBerry 10 platform that comes with amazing refinements post our latest software release,” said Amar Thomas, Marketing Head of BlackBerry India.
