A small fire broke out at a Samsung factory in Tianjin, northern part of China. The cause of fire once found, was worse. Faulty batteries, within the factory.
No worker was hurt, as the fire was taken care of without causing anyone any harm. Samsung SDi builds lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and phones. This facility primarily produces batteries for smartphones.
Samsung SDI supplied batteries for the Galaxy Note 7 which globally re-called due to the battery exploding in their devices, costing them a whooping $5.3 billion.
