A Swedish Camera manufacturer, by the name of Hasselblad which is known for it’s high-end medium format cameras has announced the H5D-200C MS. The new camera is the best of both worlds, combining the H4D-200MS and the H5d-50C, with an ability of capturing 200-megapixel ultra-high-resolution images with a medium CMOS sensor.
The 200C MS has a 50-megapixel CMOS sensor. The camera is able to shift the sensor to take 4 or 6 shots and then combines them into one picture going all the way up to 200-megapixels. Hasselblad cameras are often used by studios for fancy advertisement shots. The file size of one picture on the H4D-200MS used to be 573MB, which is enormous. So just take a hint as to how big the file will be on this new camera.
Sadly, the Swedish manufacturer has not released any pricing information, but stay tuned!
