As Apple released iOS 8, a lot of new features weren’t talked about on stage, at WWDC. A lot of people take pictures of certain cards they have, so that they don’t have to carry them everywhere. Now, if you plan to take a picture and happen to have iOS 8 installed, you can scan your credit card and automatically add it into Safari if you’re doing some online shopping or simply just taking a picture of it.

The camera uses OCR (optical character recognition) which scans a credit card and saves all of the information that it finds on the card, and when you’re doing some online shopping it asks to use that specific card.
