A video from a developer, Steven Troughton-Smith has been uploaded on YouTube showing us the activation of a hidden code for Split Screen Multitasking which was found inside the first beta of iOS 8. He is showing this on a simulator on a Mac, therefore the mouse cursor.

This feature was rumoured back in March for iOS 8 but was taken away as it wasn’t ready in time for WWDC, however the iOS 8 springboard has the code which allows applications to be running side-by-side. In the video above, three sizes are shown to us – 1/3, 1/2 and 3/4 when using two fingers to scroll to the side. Obviously this feature is still being developed and this will be a great feature on the iPad’s and the upcoming 5.5-inch iPhone 6?
