We weren’t disappointed. I might have been somewhat disappointed when the iPhone 8 was being unveiled, but Apple “wasn’t done yet.” They clearly know how to tease us.

Steve Jobs, you should be proud. Rest in peace.

Well, the two new amazing devices, iPhone 8 and the iPhone X (that’s 10, not ex) clearly mark a phenomenal step forward in the smartphone industry.

The iPhone 8 is showcased in a video in the new all gold, gloss finish! It’s design is similar to that of the iPhone 4 and 4s, a glass sandwich with an aluminium frame in the middle. Both devices have an all-new A11 Bionic chip. 64-bit with 6 cores, 2-high performance cores.

The devices boast a Retina HD display, with TrueTone capabilities. They boast new stereo speakers, which are 25% louder.

Camera’s get a juge improvement, a new feature similar to Portrait Mode which adjusts the lighting while you’re taking a picture, not just putting a filter. All this takes place in real-time, while you’re composing a picture.

The iPhone 8 is going to make use of Qi’s Wireless Charging, due to the glass back that the device boasts. Various wireless chargers will be available from companies such as Belkin and Mophie.

The iPhone X, their flagship device. The one we all truly want.

The device forgets Touch ID, and introduces Face ID which scans your face and unlocks your device. The team put immense effort into teaching the Neural Engine not to get spoofed by face masks and photographs of the owner of each device. There is a 1 in a 1-million chance your phone could get unlocked by someone else, as opposed to Touch ID which had a 1 in 50,000 chance.

The phone no longer has a home button, instead it has an edge-to-edge display with Facial Recognition which ditches the fingerprint system which we all loved.

The Side/Lock button which is now just called the Side Switch is used to invoke Siri, other than “Hey Siri!”

The iPhone X is their most advanced, and futuristic device ever made. All iPhone models now have a base storage of 64GB and no more 128GB.

It’s simply 64GB and 256GB, which is somewhat a disappointment, because their 128GB option was just perfect.

The iPhone X makes use of a QuadHD display (atleast that’s what the resolution points to) and is called the Super Retina Display.

Apple has also gone ahead and introduced Animoji, which replicate your facial expressions with Emoji’s to showcase your true feelings over messaging, which is truly entertaining.

The sad part is, the iPhone X will be available for preorder from the 27th of October and begins shipping from the 3rd of November.

Apple has also been working on a Power Mat, called AirPower, which allows you to place all your devices on a Mat and wirelessly charge them using one single cable, thanks to the new Qi Wireless Charging Capabilities.

The front camera’s also receive the smart Lighting feature that’s boasted on the rear cameras, which is truly phenomenal.

The rear cameras boast new OIS in both, the wide-angle and telephoto lenses, with new sensors which offer a much deeper and vibrant picture.

Here’s a clear look at Apple’s new lineup –
