Samsung opened up their beta program to test the Gear Smartwatch Manager for iOS, and the newly announced Gear S3 Classic and Frontier will officially support iPhone’s.

“A Samsung executive confirmed the Gear S3 iPhone support at the event today,” says article, there isn’t any time given by Samsung but it has been confirmed.

The new S3 watches have bigger batteries, a much better design, similar hardware, built-in GPS, and the Frontier version has an optional LTE cellular connectivity.

“With the Gear S3, we sought to integrate tradition and technology, bringing to the forefront an immensely intelligent smartwatch. The large watch face was inspired by styles emerging from the world’s most premium watch brands,”

The Gear S3 Frontier and Classic will start shipping later this year.
