Snapchat has added a few new features to their latest update to the application, and removed a few things which we all loved about Snapchat, leaving a lot of people disappointed.

The new feature is called Discover. With this new feature, you can access content from services such as Yahoo News, ESPN, National Geographic, MTV, Daily Mail, and Snapchat’s own network. Snapchat has been working with media companies to delivery content, and now with the latest update you can choose from any of these services and see the content inside the application itself. The content appears in the form of short video clips such as stories, and you can swipe to to see the entire video, or read an article. Snapchat also has it’s own channel, where you can get updates from events happening around the world.

A feature that we all loved is best friends. You can no longer stalk your ex/boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/sister/daughter/brother/etc. because you can’t see anybody’s best friends, other than your own. And that also, only when you’re sending a snapchat. You will see a new “Snapchat Ghost” icon on the centre of the screen, when you take a Snapchat, on which you can either pull-down or click, and a new Barcode Like image will come up, which you can share with others where people just open the application and scan your Barcode (every account has a different and custom barcode) and instantly add you as a contact. Your score is also visible on this new screen that they’ve added, and you can add friends manually from here, see who added you and see your list of contacts.

What do you think of this update? I personally don’t like it all that much, considering we can’t see anybody’s best friends anymore. What do you say? Let us know below!
