Microsoft has finally made it official, the Surface 2 with LTE will be in stores tomorrow, and the 64GB variant will cost you $679. There aren’t any new carriers announced, only AT&T and Vodafone in the UK will be the main carriers this device will be on, but more carriers will be supported, soon.

Apparently, no contract is needed which means users can use any SIM card in this tablet, as it is an unlocked device, though it is optimized/compatible only with AT&T’s LTE network, so if you try to use the Verizon or T-Mobile LTE service, it probably won’t work. And you don’t need a tool to open the sim try, you just use your fingernail and pop, it’s out.

Anyone who buys the Surface 2 with LTE will also get 200GB of added storage on OneDrive in addition to Microsoft Home & Student 2013 RT and Outlook 2013 RT. The device will go on sale tomorrow at Microsoft Stores and Best Buy.
