Apple reintroduces the iPhone 4 in India

Just as rumors had it, Apple has once again introduced the iPhone 4 in India, and the three-year old device was the first device to have Apple’s flat back design with glass on both sides. The design revolutionized the phone industry, it was once of the most advanced devices when it was released and its obvious that technology has improved quite a lot since then. When the iPhone 5s and 5c were announced in India they were said to be extremely expensive, and that is what led Apple to announcing this phone again. The iPhone 4 has been launched at a price of INR 23,000 which is about $370, which is quite expensive for a device that has been in the market for over three years. The rumor was the device would be priced at $270, and to be honest $370 is still quite a bit expensive, but its cheaper compared to the 5s and 5c. What do you think? Is this a good idea? Apple has announced that they have sold four million iPhone 4S handsets in the first three days of sales, doubling the sales figures of the iPhone 4 in the same period. “iPhone 4S is off to a great start with more than four million sold in its first weekend—the most ever for a phone and more than double the iPhone 4 launch during its first three days,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “iPhone 4S is a hit with customers around the world, and together with iOS 5 and iCloud, is the best iPhone ever.” Full press release below.
