You can now connect your phone to your car, and without even touching the phone you can say “Hey Siri” and it will automatically recognise it. You can also now just open Siri and use it to recognise a song and you can purchase it straight away from iTunes without you saying a word. You can now also use Siri in 22 new languages, which is...

Offline Siri Dictation for iOS 7?

Offline dictation is already on OS X Mavericks as Siri dictation to use, Apple will ask you to download files mostly about 1Gb for offline dictation to work! But recently Apple was caught testing offline dictation on iOS 7 which I think would be really helpful!   It was first discovered by Hamza Sood and first reported by Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac. Hamza spotted code references in both iOS 7 betas (but not in iOS 6)! Here is what he has to say: The functionality is currently not active in public-facing builds, but we are told that devices internal to Apple have the function up and running. We are also told that while local Dictation is an option in these seeds, the former, cloud-based Dictation process is present for certain situations. Perhaps this will be an option in Settings or an option based on Internet conditions. You never know that offline Siri dictation could debut in beta 3 of iOS 7!   The picture on the left is the Siri dictation and the picture on the right is dictation but running offline! Last November, some reliable sources had told Mark Gurman from 9to5Mac that the new OS X will feature Siri and Maps! That came true for Maps but did not see Siri at all! Well OS X Mavericks and iOS 7 are still in beta so some feature still have a lot to come! Let’s see what...

iOS 7 Beta 2 Changelog!

Here is the final changelog for the OS Apple just seeded a while back, iOS 7 Beta 2. Siri got new voices. Sadly, it seems the new voices previewed during the keynote are only available in the States. The UK Siri voice is exactly the same as it was before. But, if your Stateside, check out Siri, it has a much more natural speech engine. From doing a little digging around, it seems not everyone is getting the new voices. Voice Memos is back, having done something of a disappearing act in beta 1. It’s got a snazzy new logo too.  iPad support! Yep, Apple has finally released a beta version for iPads. If you have anything from iPad 2 onwards (including iPad mini), your tablet will Messages now includes contact photos in conversational threads. Messages now notifies you if a message cannot be delivered. In Messages, if you pull a sent message to the left, exact time stamps for all sent messages are revealed. Game Center – Much smoother performance. No more blank screens. Reminders – Slightly different user interface. ‘Search’ box finally placed somewhere near the middle with the alarm clock to the right side of it. Status bar bugs are also ironed out. Now more icons stuck between transitions when switching orientation or using Bluetooth. FaceTime has a darker background. Messages has a couple of other new tweaks: showing nicknames instead of a full name for your contact, and a slightly bigger ‘Send’ button as well as a new animation when your message is sent. Music app – If you have the app open to show an album song list or a playlist, a nice little animation shows you which of the songs is playing. Red dots. iPad with iOS 7 shows the “fly in” to the Home Screen animation like the iPhone when you open a Smart Cover. Improved performance on iPhone...
