Tesla went ahead and surprised everyone with the reveal of the Tesla Roadster, the “quickest car in the world” with a 0-60-mile-pper hour time of just 1.9-seconds, and a 100mph time of 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of OVER 250mph.

Tesla didn’t reveal any horsepower information but said the wheel torque is 10,000 Newton-meters, which is about 7,375 pound-feet. This in layman terms has a quarter-mile time of just 8.8 seconds. Yep, thats quick.

The car will have a driving range of 620-miles on one charge. Not just that, the Roadster will have a trick glass roof which stows away in the trunk. But all this comes at a price, the baseline model of this car starts at $200,000 and it costs $50,000 to just reserve this car.

Tesla will launch the Roadster with a Founder’s Series model which comes in at $250,000 limited to just 1,000 examples.
