The upcoming BMW X5 has been under development for quite some time now, considering the current model has been on sale since 2013, BMW is preparing an all new version now rather than just a minor refresh.
The new spy shots of the upcoming BMW X5 show production-spec headlights and the new grille. At the moment, the X5 is the highest car in BMW’s fleet, but that won’t be for long as the upcoming X7 will be stealing the crown.
The pictures allow us to see how the grille is quite larger, and the car has smooth lines which were quite sharp on the doors previously. The powertrain stays the same, you get a turbocharged inline-four cylinder engine all the way up to a 600-horsepower twin-turbo V8 for the X5 M. There’s a high possibility there will be a plug-in hybrid coming in soon, but we aren’t too sure of when.
