Apple went ahead and updated their iMac family with welcome updates.

For starters, we now have a new display that’s 500nits, and 43% brighter with one billion colours

 

Powering these new desktops, are the Intel Kaby Lake Processors with 10-bit HEVC decode, 32GB RAM on the 21.5-inch iMac and upto 64GB on the 27-inch iMac. Their Fusion Drive is also standard on all 27-inch iMac configurations, and standard on the high-end 21.5-inch iMac. The SSDs are now 50% faster with up to 2TB storage. You also now get 2x Thunderbolt 3 ports on the back.

The iMac uses the next-generation graphics, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 (integrated). These are up to 80% faster than previous generation. You also get Discrete graphics in 21.5-inch iMac include AMD Radeon Pro 555 & 560 GPUs with up to 4GB VRAM. Up to 3x faster than previous generation.
